Every generation of dentistry produces clinicians who inherit an established field, and a few who arrive just as that field is being transformed. Dr. Chris Yang belongs to the latter. Combining advanced prosthodontic training with digital implant workflows, he has built a career focused on restoring function, aesthetics, and confidence through modern implant dentistry. Since joining FastNewSmile Dental Implant Center in Dallas in 2021, he has become part of a new generation of clinicians helping shape the future of osseointegration.

Learning While Teaching

Dr. Yang earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where his commitment to education emerged early. While completing his own training, he participated in the ACT ARCO academic leadership track and taught fellow dental students in both classroom and clinical settings.

His dedication to patient care and prosthodontics earned him the American College of Prosthodontists Award for Outstanding Prosthodontic Care. Alongside his studies, he also served as a clinical instructor and laboratory manager, teaching dental anatomy, removable and fixed prosthodontics, and mentoring junior students in foundational sciences.

His clinical education extended beyond Pittsburgh through prosthodontic internships at the Aspinwall VA Hospital and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, exposing him to complex restorative cases across diverse patient populations.

Advanced Training in Implant Rehabilitation

Following dental school, Dr. Yang pursued advanced specialty education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, earning both a Master of Science degree and a Certificate in Prosthodontics.

The program emphasized comprehensive implant rehabilitation, including fixed, removable, maxillofacial, and implant prosthodontics. More importantly, it strengthened his ability to integrate surgical planning with restorative treatment—an increasingly valuable approach as implant dentistry continues to evolve toward comprehensive, digitally guided care.

Building a Modern Implant Practice

Since joining FastNewSmile Dental Implant Center in Dallas in 2021 as a Surgical Prosthodontist and Implant Specialist, Dr. Yang has focused on comprehensive implant treatment ranging from single-tooth replacement to full-arch rehabilitation.

His dual expertise in surgical implant placement and prosthetic restoration enables him to guide patients through the entire treatment journey, reducing the need for multiple providers while improving continuity of care.

Digital planning, guided surgery, and modern restorative workflows have become central to his practice, allowing greater precision, efficiency, and predictability for increasingly complex implant cases.

Giving Back Through Education

Although still early in his professional career, Dr. Yang has remained committed to education.

Since 2021, he has served as Honorary Faculty for 1 on 1 Implantology, helping train fellow clinicians in implant procedures and restorative techniques. His continued involvement in professional education reflects a belief that advancing implant dentistry depends as much on sharing knowledge as on developing technical skill.

He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Dallas County Dental Society.

A Voice in the Future of Osseointegration

Dr. Yang’s commitment to advancing the profession extends beyond clinical practice. In 2022, he joined the Young Clinicians Committee of the Academy of Osseointegration, one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to implant dentistry and osseointegration.

The committee brings together emerging leaders who will help shape the future direction of implant education, research, and clinical practice. His appointment reflects growing recognition of both his technical expertise and his commitment to the continued advancement of the specialty.

Leading Dentistry’s Digital Generation

Dr. Yang describes his philosophy simply: restoring function, aesthetics, and confidence so patients can regain control of their lives.

His career reflects that same purpose. Rather than viewing surgery, prosthodontics, and digital technology as separate disciplines, he integrates them into a single, patient-centered approach that emphasizes precision, efficiency, and long-term outcomes.

As digital workflows continue to redefine implant dentistry, clinicians who are equally comfortable with surgical planning, prosthetic rehabilitation, and advanced technology will play an increasingly important role. Dr. Chris Yang represents that new generation—one helping move osseointegration into its next era through innovation, education, and comprehensive patient care.
