Boca Raton is the kind of Florida city where many people arrive intending to slow down, only to begin entirely new chapters of their professional lives. For more than three decades, one periodontics and implant dentistry practice has reflected that same spirit of sustained ambition. Since 1990, Dr. Jeffrey Ganeles has led the South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, building a career that extends far beyond private practice into education, research, entrepreneurship, and global leadership in osseointegration.

More Than Three Decades of Clinical Leadership

As President and Managing Partner of the South Florida Center for Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, Dr. Ganeles has devoted his career to restoring oral health through advanced periodontal therapy and scientifically based implant treatment.

Reflecting on his philosophy of care, he explains: “I have been managing partner of our Boca Raton office since 1990. In my office, we perform all phases of periodontal treatment to maintain or restore dental health, focusing on periodontal disease and its treatment. We also provide expert, scientifically based tooth replacement services with dental implants, specializing in fast, comfortable, and predictable results.”

Alongside his busy clinical practice, he has delivered more than 100 invited lectures worldwide and authored over 45 scientific papers, textbook chapters, and editorials, helping advance both the science and everyday practice of implant dentistry.

An Entrepreneur Focused on Better Dentistry

Throughout his career, Dr. Ganeles has consistently looked beyond clinical treatment to improve how implant dentistry is practiced.

In 1998, he founded Comprehensive Closure Concepts, Inc., where he continues to serve as CEO, providing consulting services that help implant practices improve efficiency, clinical workflow, and team performance.

He later co-founded DentalImplant Inc., serving as President from 2004 to 2017. The company developed educational software that helped patients better understand implant procedures and treatment options before beginning care.

Between 2013 and 2016, he also led TeethToday Member Group, an organization dedicated to delivering efficient, predictable implant treatment through highly qualified specialists in private practice.

Although each venture served a different purpose, they shared a common objective: improving the patient experience while helping clinicians deliver more consistent, evidence-based care.

Educating the Next Generation of Implant Specialists

Education has remained central to Dr. Ganeles’s professional life.

Since 1997, he has served as Adjunct Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where he also served as Interim Program Director. Since 2003, he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, mentoring postgraduate clinicians in advanced periodontics and implant therapy.

His commitment to professional development is reflected in his election as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and as a Fellow of ITI – International Team for Implantology, one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to implant dentistry and osseointegration. ITI Fellowship recognizes clinicians who have demonstrated sustained excellence in patient care, education, and scientific contribution.

Advancing Implant Dentistry Beyond the Clinic

Dr. Ganeles has also helped introduce implant dentistry to broader audiences.

Between 2003 and 2005, he served as an implant surgeon and consultant for ABC Television’s Extreme Makeover and the UK’s Brand New You. While these programs focused on dramatic personal transformations, they also demonstrated to millions of viewers how implant dentistry could restore both function and confidence.

His influence extends beyond television. Throughout his career, he has served as a consultant, advisor, visiting professor, editorial board member, and researcher for numerous organizations dedicated to advancing periodontal treatment and implant dentistry. Earlier appointments at the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University School of Dentistry, and the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation helped establish the academic foundation that continues to support his clinical work today.

Leading the Future of Osseointegration

Among Dr. Ganeles’s many accomplishments, his leadership within the Academy of Osseointegration stands out as one of his most significant contributions to the profession.

After years of service as a Fellow, committee member, and Board Director, he was elected to the Academy’s executive leadership, helping guide scientific meetings, educational initiatives, and research programs that influence implant clinicians around the world. His leadership reflects decades of dedication to evidence-based implant therapy and the continued advancement of osseointegration.

A Career Built on Lasting Impact

Few clinicians successfully combine private practice, university teaching, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and international professional leadership over such an extended period. Dr. Jeffrey Ganeles has done precisely that.

Across more than four decades, he has remained committed to improving every aspect of implant dentistry—from educating patients and mentoring future specialists to strengthening professional organizations and advancing the science of osseointegration itself.

His career demonstrates that lasting influence is built not through a single achievement, but through decades of consistent leadership, innovation, and service. Today, as one of the most respected voices in implant dentistry, Dr. Ganeles continues to shape the future of osseointegration while improving the lives of patients around the world.
